Federation Charter

Preamble

We, the members of the St. Vincent Taekwondo Federation (STF), united in purpose and guided by the values of Taekwondo, do hereby adopt this Charter to define our mission, responsibilities, and standards.

Article I – Name

The name of the governing body shall be the St. Vincent Taekwondo Federation (STF).

Article II – Mission

The mission of the STF is: 1. To promote the art, sport, and philosophy of Taekwondo in St. Vincent and abroad. 2. To uphold the highest standards of technical excellence, sportsmanship, and ethical conduct. 3. To develop athletes, coaches, referees, and leaders who embody the core values of Taekwondo.

Article III – Core Values

All STF members shall be guided by: • Courtesy – Showing respect to all, regardless of rank or background. • Integrity – Acting honestly and keeping one’s word. • Perseverance – Pushing forward despite obstacles. • Self-Control – Exercising discipline in thought, word, and action. • Indomitable Spirit – Standing strong in the face of adversity.

Article IV – Authority & Affiliation

1. The STF is the official national governing body for Taekwondo in St. Vincent. 2. The STF shall maintain affiliation with the Pan American Taekwondo Union (PATU) and World Taekwondo (WT). 3. The STF shall oversee all official Taekwondo events, rankings, and grading examinations in St. Vincent.

Article V – Governance

1. The STF shall be governed by its Constitution and this Charter. 2. All members shall abide by STF rules, policies, and decisions. 3. The STF shall act in the best interest of its members and the development of Taekwondo.

Article VI – Commitment to Non-Discrimination

Membership and participation shall be open to all, without discrimination based on race, creed, religion, sex, martial lineage, sexual preference, impairment, or disability.

Article VII – Member Responsibilities

All members of the STF agree to: • Uphold the STF Oath. • Pay required fees and maintain valid membership/licensing. • Represent the STF positively in all public and competitive events. • Promote safety, respect, and fairness in all Taekwondo activities.
