St. Vincent Taekwondo Federation – Volunteer Management Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all volunteers working with the STF are recruited, trained, and supported in a way that aligns with the Federation’s mission and values, while providing a safe, respectful, and rewarding environment for everyone involved.

2. Recruitment

  • Volunteers will be selected based on skills, experience, and commitment to STF’s values.

  • All volunteers working directly with athletes, especially minors, must undergo a criminal background check and sign the Child Protection Agreement before starting.

3. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Volunteers will be given clear role descriptions outlining duties, expectations, and reporting lines.

  • Volunteers must follow all STF policies, including the Code of Conduct, Safe Sport Policy, and Child Protection Policy.

4. Training & Support

  • Volunteers will receive orientation and relevant training to perform their roles effectively.

  • Ongoing support will be provided by a designated supervisor or team leader.

5. Conduct & Accountability

  • Volunteers are expected to act professionally, respectfully, and in the best interest of STF at all times.

  • Misconduct or breach of STF policy may result in termination of the volunteer role.

6. Recognition

  • STF will acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of its volunteers through certificates, public thanks, and recognition events.

7. Review

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it continues to meet STF’s operational needs and aligns with best practices in volunteer management.
